Inside Doers Summit 2026: designing the experience at biggest tech festival in Cyprus
The dust has finally settled on Kolla Factory. As we look back at Doers Summit 2026 in Limassol, the TENGO team is still buzzing with the sheer energy of those two intense, inspiring days. On May 21st and 22nd, we found ourselves at the very heart of the Mediterranean’s largest tech event, not just as attendees, but as active creators of the festival's environment.
  • 10K+
    FOUNDERS & INVESTORS
  • 50+
    COUNTRIES REPRESENTED
  • 400+
    STARTUPS
  • 150+
    SPEAKERS
This year’s summit was nothing short of monumental. Walking through the venue, it was incredible to realize we were sharing the space with over 10,000 founders, operators, and investors from more than 50 countries. With 400+ startups, 150+ speakers, 250+ investors, and over 150 exhibitors spread across four massive stages, Doers Summit proved that it is far more than just a local conference. It has become a vital bridge connecting Europe, the Middle East, South Asia, and the surrounding tech ecosystems. And we were incredibly proud to help shape how all those brilliant minds connected, worked, and relaxed. Here are our team’s impressions, highlights, and behind-the-scenes thoughts on what made Doers Summit 2026 so unforgettable.

The atmosphere: industrial charm meets experience design

From the moment our team arrived for the setup, we knew Kolla Factory was the perfect backdrop. The venue’s raw, former industrial identity gives the summit a distinct, authentic character that is impossible to replicate in a standard hotel conference center. The exposed steel structures, towering open halls, and layered pathways gave every zone a memorable visual punch.
Walking through the festival felt less like navigating a traditional business conference and more like exploring a living, breathing video game
But what struck us most this year was the pure "experience design" of the event. Walking through the festival felt less like navigating a traditional business conference and more like exploring a living, breathing video game. There were unexpected side quests, immersive zones, and thousands of people organically moving through a shared world. We found ourselves getting lost in the best way possible-wandering from the quiet focus of the Silent Stage next to the bustling expo, up to the rooftop for some sunset networking, and finally standing in awe inside the Big Dome Stage with its 360-degree projections and a slowly rotating platform.
This environment drastically changed how people behaved. Instead of frantically running from one keynote to the next, attendees paused. They lingered. They reconnected. The summit was masterfully designed for encounters, and that is exactly where TENGO came in.

Creating ecosystems, not just supplying furniture

For us at TENGO, being the official furniture partner has never meant just dropping off chairs and leaving. We see ourselves as spatial architects of the event. At a modern tech summit, furniture isn't mere decoration-it is the foundation of the user journey. It dictates how people meet, how long they stay in a specific zone, whether they can focus, and whether a space feels inviting enough to spark a spontaneous conversation.
This year, we took on our most ambitious role yet, helping to shape the look, feel, and function of multiple touchpoints across the festival. You could spot our carefully curated furniture on the main stages and scattered throughout the relaxation areas. However, we poured our hearts into two deeply important spaces: the VIP Lounge and our crown jewel, the massive Coworking Area.

The VIP lounge: an oasis for high-value conversations

We designed the VIP Lounge to be the quiet, premium layer of the festival. We know from experience that while the main expo floor is fantastic for introductions, the real, high-stakes networking-the kind of conversations that lead to funding rounds and strategic partnerships-requires a different setting.
Our goal was to create an oasis. We selected plush sofas, elegant coffee tables, ergonomic chairs, and specialized acoustic dividers that seamlessly blended with the gritty, industrial aesthetic of Kolla Factory, while instantly elevating the comfort level. It was deeply rewarding for our team to walk past the Lounge and see founders and investors sinking into our furniture, deep in conversation, completely shielded from the sensory overload of the main event. It proved a core TENGO philosophy: networking doesn’t need to be louder to be effective; it just needs a better physical setting.

The biggest coworking setup we’ve ever built

Let’s be honest-at a major tech event, nobody actually stops working. Founders, operators, and investors are perpetually managing remote teams, putting out fires, and closing deals between panel discussions. We fully embraced this reality by building the largest, most comprehensive coworking setup TENGO has ever delivered for a festival.
We didn't just want to provide a few tables. We built a fully functional pop-up office. Our zone featured multiple state-of-the-art Framery acoustic booths equipped with a seamless reservation system, allowing attendees to step out of the chaos for a private investor call or a quick video meeting. We surrounded these with ergonomic desk areas, abundant charging stations, cable management, complimentary drinks, and even lockable storage.
For the attendees, it meant they could stay locked into the rhythm of the summit without losing control of their daily operations. For us, it created a vibrant hub. Our sales people, architects, and project managers practically lived in this zone for two days.
It was fantastic to host so many of you, reviewing portfolio examples over coffee, discussing potential office transformations, and catching up with long-time partners while welcoming new faces into the TENGO family.

Putting people first: Kate’s standout workshop

One of our absolute proudest moments of the entire festival didn't involve furniture at all. It took place on stage, where Kate, from our architectural team, led a phenomenal talk and workshop. While many sessions at the summit naturally gravitated toward AI, scaling, and investment algorithms, Kate brought the conversation directly back to the human element. Her core message was powerful and necessary: a workplace is never just four walls. It is a living environment where people spend thousands of hours of their lives.
Kate eloquently argued that good workplace design isn't simply about having the biggest budget; it’s about making highly intelligent, intentional choices that actively improve employee wellbeing, focus, privacy, and daily comfort. In an industry utterly obsessed with speed and performance, her reminder that "systems matter, but people matter first" resonated deeply with the crowd. It was the perfect articulation of everything TENGO stands for.

Our Final Takeaways from Limassol

As we pack up our booths and head back to the studio, we are leaving with three distinct takeaways from Doers Summit 2026:
  • Limassol is a Global Tech Anchor

This is no longer just a great Cypriot event. It is a critical cross-border map for global innovation. The concentration of international talent here was staggering.
  • Atmosphere is a Strategic Asset

The gamified identity, the industrial setting, and the intentional networking layers proved that physical experience directly shapes business outcomes. Event organizers everywhere should take notes from Kolla Factory.
  • Great Spaces Do Not Go Unnoticed

People remember where they felt good. They remember the comfortable chair where they finally had that breakthrough conversation, the acoustic pod where they closed a deal in peace, and the lounge where they recharged their batteries.
At its best, design does not scream for attention. It simply works quietly in the background, making everything else function better, smoother, and more naturally. Seeing that philosophy come to life at Doers Summit 2026 was the ultimate reward for our team.
Thank you to everyone who stopped by our spaces, grabbed a coffee with us, or attended Kate’s talk. We are already looking forward to building something even more spectacular for you next year!
